For about two years, I was a freelance designer with my own invoice and all. I could get lost in the work for hours easily. I even custom coded CSS several times, and altered the PHP once (my proudest moment). I learned how to proactively ask questions about client’s needs and communicate with clients productively throughout the design process to ensure I was on target for meeting their needs.
