Web Collaborative Outline | Aristotle Digital Scholarship
As a digital learning assistant to a philosophy professor at Davidson, I came up with a digital solution for a professor who wanted to transpose St. Thomas Aquinas’s outline commentaries on Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics onto somewhere— this would make truly understanding what Aristotle is saying, and following his logic, possible for college student and academics alike. Otherwise, it is almost impossible to fully follow the maze of Aristotle is even saying in his dense texts.
In spring 2019, I designed a collaborative WordPress website and developed a way for students to contribute to the building of the outline for the course PHI160: Great Philosophers- Aristotle taught by Professor Paul Studtmann at Davidson College. This included a set of training workshops for students on how to build the outline early-on in the course, office hours to resolve technical issues as they arose, and participation in the course as a student myself!
